We received a very large room with separate bedroom and living room and also a large balcony. Nice view over the see. Close to the old town. Very good breakfeast and dinner

Great hotel located on lakeside close to centre of city. Our room was a good size, quiet and very comfortable. Marble bathrooms are attractive. Buffet breakfast was excellent and served in dining room overlooking lake. There is also a small bar and a cozy sitting room. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Free secure parking at rear of hotel. Schwerin is beautiful and well worth a visit.

We spent four very happy nights here in September. We arrived on the train, walked one block, turned the corner and there it was overlooking the small lake in the centre of town.

Our room ended up being a large suite in the apartment hotel next door. It overlooked the lake, had some wonderful old furniture and a huge modern bathroom. The only complaint would be a faint odor of stale cigarette smoke, but in Germany unfortunately that is virtually impossible to get away from.

There is a very nice small bar in the hotel and a very good restaurant. The staff is very professional.

We only had 1 night in this hotel and in this city which was a shame because both were delightful, charming surprises. This hotel overlooks a small lake and is a very short walk to the sights. The rooms were larger than expected and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was small but good. There are stairs leading up to the main door which would make it a difficult place for anybody with mobililty issues. Although Schwerin is a quiet, provincial backwater, it was a beautiful, charming little city. The castle, surrounded by water, is something out of a fairy tale. The old part of the city contains many small, narrow streets with interesting shops. While we visited the cathedral, somebody was practicing the organ. I felt as though I had stepped back into the 18th century. All in all, Schwerin and this hotel are worth a visit.
