The hotel is nice BUT dont break anything accidently. I was in the hotel foyer with my bags when i accidently clipped one of the lamps. it fell and smashed. The hotel staff were incredibly rude, and were telling me "you must pay, you must pay" in under 10 seconds of the accident happening. Clearly the hotel does not have insurance for accidents such as these and i was charged £110 pounds for this foyer lamp. I will never be visiting this branch of steigenberger hotel again. Note : this was in the foyer, let alone the room! terrible, staff more concerned about money grabbing than customer service. What makes it even more upsetting is that i was part of a party of about 18 people and we had some 10 rooms paid for.

The Steigenberger remarque is a nice, modern hotel on a convenient location. The hotel is easy to find by car, and there is a garage underneath from where you can access the hotel. The city center starts across the street.

The room we had was fairly big and was decorated in a modern way. The only major drawback were the curtains - too thin and therefor not keeping enough light out. This was especially annoying in the morning.

The staff was friendly and checking in and out went quick. The hotel has a nice sauna and steam bath (including a relaxation area with lounge chairs) which is free of charge. There are two restaurants and both of them appareantly receive good reviews. Both restaurants also seemed popular with non-hotelguests, which is usually a good sign. We tried the 'Kuche und wein' restaurant (a variety of tapas as a starter, trout as main course). It was nice and very reasonably priced.

Breakfast buffet was nice as well. As you would expect from a 4 star hotel, it offered a variety of choices including fish and a large selection of cheese.

The hotel offers lower rates in weekends. It is probably the best hotel Osnabruck has to offer - if it weren't for the thin curtains, I would have rated it excellent (5 instead of 4 dots).

I travel a great deal for business, all over the world. This is one of my favorite addresses... contemporary, impeccably maintained, dynamic. Best value for money are the Junior Suites; lots of space and nice layout. The smaller rooms (such as Executive Suites) are not at all special. There are two different kitchens at dinnertime. I mention this because the food in the main restaurant (Kuchen und Wein?) is mediocre, while the food in the small, pricey gourmet restaurant is simply fabulous.

The staff are young and very polite, if not always completely informed about the rest of the city.
