I think this hotel is a well-kept secret to English speakers coz the website is all in German. But we had a lovely time at this hotel. The Germans can be rather brisk even in the hospitality business but at this hotel, we got smiles all over and very friendly service. The room we got was in the old part of the hotel (hotel had a newer wing at the back). So if you want the cool exposed beams, ask for a room in the old part. But because the rooms are in 3 or 4 different old houses joined together, every room seems to be different in size. Ours had an entry hallway (which was fairly large enough to put our babybed) and decent-sized room, shower but no bath. Our room did get warm even though it was just 20s deg C outside but opening windows meant the street noise would get to us. So ask for a room in the back if you are worried about noise. Some reviews said the buffet breakfast could be better but everything was there (juices, jams, meats, breads). Only snag is there is no warm food, but they do ask and serve you your eggs however you want it. Breakfast room was lovely with a skylight roof. Oh, no tea/coffee making facilities in-room but I think German hotels never have that (save in 5* places). Good that they have a garage (11eur/day). Drive into the street which seems like a pedestrian street and turn right into an even narrower street to get to the entrance. It seems one needs a "environment sticker" to drive into the city but since we had our car parked inside the garage, we skipped that. Hotel is smack right in the middle of the old town. It's as central as you can get and location-wise the best hotel in the old town!! And the spa area was just lovely (but not large). Everything is made-to-measure because it is located under the roof of the old building. Loved the turkish bath. And mid-week there was absolutely no one there. Nice place for a girl's weekend away. =)

We speak very minimal English. We traveled to this area to visit my husband's grandfather's home and give our 11 year old son a glimpse into his history. The staff at the Walhalla were lovely going out of their way to help "the Americans". It is situated in the perfect location of historic Osnabruck surrounded by many shops and restaurants. It's also a quick cab ride to the train. The facility is very well appointed and updated even though it is an old, and beautifully historic, building. Their restaurant is delicious with a lovely patio and very attentive service. I found it very conducive for families as well as romantic couples. Huge thumbs up!! Thanks for making our trip all the more special.

Located in a very central location of the old part of the city, this hotel has a romantic atmosphere as well as surrounding, but still at the same time it is well suited for any traveller who enjoy quality. A good breakfast buffet, nice beds in clean and very spacious rooms, this hotel was surely a nice experience. They supplied a baby cot for our 1,5 year old baby, as well as child soap indicates that this place is used to, and like to accomodate families.

This is a hotel I'd recommend to everyone, business travellers as well as vacation travellers.

The only minus would be that the WIFI is charged extra for.

Hotel located in the heart of the city center within walking distance to all attractions, shopping and restaurants. Historic building with very modern interior design. I had a deluxe room which was bigger but not totally modern. Breakfast was included and good. Parking in hotel garage or nearby (valet parking, both at 11 Euros). Hotel has a nice bar and a good restaurant. Unfortunately it was a bit noisy outside in the morning (church bell, garbage collection, street-cleaning etc.) as it is directly in the pedestrian zone of Osnabrück. However I can definitely recommend this hotel for both tourists and business travellers.
