I've been to the Mussman and several other Hannover hotels the past few years. Mussman twice in the past 6 months. I prefer the Mussman now over the Suitehotel. The neighborhood at Mussman is the front of the train station and surrounded by downtown shops and walking streets. Suitehotel is at the back of the Hbahnhof by the bus station and you have to pass a few gangs of bums smoking/drinking to get to the train station. The Luisenhof around the corner is just as nice probably nicer and has a couple things the Mussman lacks: a hotel lobby area, and a bar/restaurant. Luisenhoff also has an awesome breakfast, so for the same price I might stay there instead. The most interesting thing at the Mussman is the shower. Since updating it in summer 2010 when you turn on the shower, classical music plays - the same song every morning. It sounds like Bach perhaps. Its strange at first but it grew on me and became like a morning anthem every day. The room design is also very different from some more spartan German rooms. Also there are tons of restaurants within a 5 minute walk.
