This was a perfect hotel for a city break, in the center of town, which is lovely and relaxed, with great shopping and during December with added Winter fair. My stay was only for one night, and so maybe to be so positive is over optimistic, while I believe that you can spot good service, well run and attentive staff. The check in service was efficient and easy, while the system of naming rooms being individual not using numbers, but names of local Germany places, which later on you can admire photo's of on each rooms door. The hotel has obviously been refitted recently and to a very high standard. There is thought for visually impaired and disabled access to floors, while the energy saving measures on the corridor lighting are impressively managed. The actual room was a fair size for a business style hotel, the bed was comfortable, and the arm chair with leg rest is a nice touch if you've been out on your feet all day. The real attraction for me was the wet room, of a group of people I traveled with we all loved the morning shower, It was fantastic, and I wasn't in the music and light themed shower which some of the group had. The breakfast was a standard (high) hotel breakfast with hot and cold choice of food. The staff were very attentive and responsive to needs. In general I'd say all the staff are well trained while it doesn't quite beat my stay in Amsterdam earlier in the year! Other aspects of the hotel did how ever leave me with a very favorable impression, and I know I'd not have a comeback recommending this hotel.

we were 3 colleagues staying at this hotel. the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the service was fairly good.
i stayed in a suite as my husband was with me and it was a large room, had a nice view from our window of the trams and the piazza style paved area below us-very pretty actually,had a massive bathroom-the shower had an unexpected light show and classical symphony music playing which the lights danced to while you showered-it was so amusing i had to video the whole experience!
our colleagues rooms were single rooms and they too were very comfortable. location was EXCELLENT-right accross the road from the station,a very short stroll to ernst august platz which is the main shopping strip. have 2 criticisms-one was that it doesnt have a bar where you can have a drink and dicuss your days dealings-always necessary during a large trade fair, and the breakfast was very ordinary(and unfortunately my colleague got food poisoning from the breakfast, couldve been a coincidence but doubt it given she was the only one who had breakfast. would consider staying here again, but not first on my list.

I stayed here for a few days on business in Hannover. Room was great. Difficult to describe but there was a large work area / desk with a comfortbale chair, large bed, great light during the day and 3 sets (I think) of kind of patio doors that opened up and looked into the courtyard (I think). THe room with the bed and work desk was very large and the sink and shower were kind of in the same room and the toilet with a door (obviously) seperate (but within your room). May not sounds very appealing but really was a great room and set-up! Quite unique to me. If only I could describe it better! The shower was my favourite part (believe it or not!). It was huge! There were digital controls to set the temperature and turn on. When you turn it on mood lighting comes on (I kid you not) with relaxing classical music. Lighting seemed to changed to red, green, blue in tune with the music. You have to experience it to believe it. As for the breakfast and staff, breakfast was excellent and the staff, at all times, were courteous, friendly and very helpful. Location is also great, beside the tourist office by the train station so right in the centre of town. Only draw back for me was lack of free interenet - this anoys me in this day and age when broadband is so cheap and easily accesible. Quite frankly, the internet was a rip off here but to be fair, seems to be the norm in Hannover. - Ridiculous!

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Mussman for 4 nights and we loved it! It is in a great location, just across the square (Ernst August Platz) from the main train station. The hotel is within easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants.
Our room had a small balcony (perfect for viewing a parade which happened to pass by on Saturday morning to our daughter's delight!) which faced a side street and was very bright and quiet. The beds were quite comfortable and they had a very cute little bed set up for our 6 year old daughter, complete with a cuddly stuffed lamb.
The sink area had lots of space and the shower was FABULOUS! (no tub though, which might be an issue if travelling with smaller children). I didn't love the see-through toilet and shower doors.
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was included and was quite good, with attentive service and lots of choice.
We loved our stay at the Mussmann and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Hannover!
