After seeing a lot of good reviews here I decided to stay here for a conference in hannover - big mistake. This hotel is one of the worst european hotels I have had the misfortune to stay at. The rooms are very dated with cheap plastic bathroom fittings, threadbare stained carpets and stained curtains. All the rooms I saw stank of smoke (what hotel even has smoking rooms nowadays??) and the reception staff were very unfriendy. Internet access was a rip off at 10E for 30 minutes!! The breakfast was pretty standard and the bar/restaurant was average. I would recommend you avoid this place if you are staying in Hannover.

I don't know where all the good reviews for this hotel come from??
Once you come in past the rusty smokers tables at the main entrance the reception area of this hotel looks fine and the bar, restaurant and conference areas all looked recently renovated however the rest of the hotel hasn't been as lucky. The rooms were small and very well used (stains and burns in the carpets, bleached curtains and rust stained plastic sinks and bath - a bit like a bad 80's travel lodge) with horrible formica furnture. There seemed to be an exclusively business clientele and quite a few loud drunken businessmen banging up and down the corridors at night. I didn't eat in the restaurant but the breakfasts were good with plenty of choice but everthing else was a very dissapointing experience.

I am not fussy and a firm believer that you get what you pay for but I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone. Checked in with my husband and given a smoking room which I would not have been too bothered about but it absolutely stank. Returned to reception & advised staff that a non smoking room had been booked and they told me no non smoking rooms were available, the whole hotel was fully booked. I was unhappy about this and explained I could not understand why this had happened when a non smoking room had been reserved. They then found a non smoking room which they transferred us to. Went to new room and there was an ashtray and again it stank really strongly of stale smoke. Went back to reception who said they had accidentally moved us to a smoking room. On the third try we got a non smoking room. When we went in it had not been cleaned. The maid then came to clean it. Bear in mind it was by this time 7pm! The room itself was extremely dated, stained & shabby. Having seen 2 other rooms they were all like this. The shower curtain in particular was caked with dirt and the inside of the toilet was flaking off. On returning at 11pm to go to bed we realised that they had left us a single duvet so had to ring and request another duvet. Woken at 1230am by a drunk in the next room trying to enter our room via the connecting door between the two rooms, shouting and singing in German and banging and stomping. This went on for over two hours. I could not sleep after this as it really frightened me. Tried to get another hotel unsuccessfully. The next two nights same again from the room next door, one night this went on from 330am til 6 in the morning. Staff were not interested. Also, on the first two days of our stay our key cards did not work.. On one occasion the receptionist accused me of keeping the card with my mobile phone which was wiping it. I had only had that key a matter of seconds and walked up the stairs to try it. On a positive note breakfast was very nice and it was near a tram stop. The conference area also looked nice. Internet was really really expensive, as was the mini bar and hotel bar. I would not stay in this chain of hotels ever again.

I had spacious room with double luxury bed though booked just single. I guess it was standard room and they have no singles. The only things I did not like in the room were a basin and a bath, both plastic, but they were clean and the bathroom itself was just huge. Sauna on the top floor was not usable because you need to ask the staff to switch it on and wait for a couple of hours. The hotel is located almost in the middle of nowhere, in terms of walking distance. Tram station is in 3 min and I could reach everything in 10-15 min ride.
