We stayed here when attending a wedding at the nearby Hannover zoo.

The hotel is a good 3 star, a few things let it down:

No iron in room, you have to go to an ironing room which is a little inconvenient.

I booked one night through their website, then wanted to book an extra night. When I contacted reservations directly they tried to charge me 364 euros for the night with no breakfast, however I managed to get another room from their website for the same price as the first night 108 euros with breakfast, so I think they are a bit cheeky.

No air conditioning in the rooms

The staff can be abrupt, particularly in the pool/sauna area

A lack of useful toiletries such as shower hat, however reception does have a supply of some toiletries for free i.e. a toothbrush and toothpaste which we had forgotten to bring

Good things:

We were put into a suite for the price of a superior room. This was room 1805 on the top floor and I highly recommend this room if you can get it, it was excellent.

20 mins from airport by taxi

Near Hannover Zoo which was an excellent day out

Overall, I think this is a good hotel apart from the little niggles, and good value for 108 euros for a Superior room option. I think it is cheaper than staying in the centre - it only costs 2 euros to get the tram into town which is fast and safe.

I would stay here again.

The Congress Hotel is fairly basic for a 4 star hotel but is very clean and the staff are excellent. The hotel was very quiet and I think only 20 of the rooms were occupied, therefore there was limted room service and the restaurants were closed, but there are lots of great places to eat in Hannover.

There is a tram stop right outside the hotel and Hannover centre was only a few stops away or 8 euros in a taxi. We managed to get to the Christmas Markets on the 22nd Dec, which were fab and highly reccommended. Also Hannover Zoo was only 800 metres walk from the hotel and we went on Boxing Day. They also have a winter zoo in addition to the normal zoo with ice skating, etc..Very Christmasy.

The rooms are very clean and the tv had many channels. Great shower, loads of storage space. Although there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, room service as very speedy and reasonable. The breakfast is very good too, and again the breakfast room was very clean.

Great places to eat are the Pancake House and Alexanders (which is open till 4am).

There was a pc in reception were you could access the internet but had to pay for wifi in the room.

We were there for a wrestling tournament and plan to return in April for another and we will be staying at the Congress again.

All in all, we had a great Christmas and was very happy with the hotel. The chamber maids even left us chocolate santa's in our room on Christmas Eve.

We booked two rooms for our family of five in the Congess Hotel Stadpark for a World Cup game we were attending. The hotel was quite full. Like most rooms we expereinced in Germany, there was no air confitioning and the rooms were smaller, but clean. The hotel overall was clean and the service was very helpful. The hotel is located in a nice part of town next to a large park and near the zoo. There is a surface train stop about 100 meters from the entrance to the hotel so getting around was no problem. The hotel also has free parking. The only negative from our visit was the faint smell of spilled beer in one of the two rooms we rented. We did not have breakfast at the hote as it was 10+ Euro per person and we could not get our value with three kidsl. We paid under 70 Euro for the each room; an excellent value given that our stay was during a World Cup game.
