I've stayed in two different rooms here at this hotel, and both were very clean, reasonably well-appointed, and very quiet. I didn't love staying on the lower level, but it's safe enough. Ask for at least the first floor so that you won't feel like you are in the basement. The location is bad, but most hotels in Gottingen are located outside of the city center on this same street, so unless you are willing to pay a lot more, this is likely your best bet. There is free parking and it is very close to the Autobahn 7 on ramp. There is a bus that can take you into the center, but catching it to go back home again is not as easy as you'd think. I don't love the shower curtains they use--it is always best to install a glass shower door in a hotel, but that is really my only complaint in terms of accommodation. The free internet is a MAJOR plus, too!

“Excellent value for money - exceeded my expectations”

I booked this hotel via www.hrs.de no more than an hour before checking in. I took it because it was absolutely cheap (EUR 45 a night). And for this rate this hotel is really excellent:

- spacious rooms
- clean
- great breakfast selection
- free internet
- 10 minutes by bus to the city centre

This really was what I needed and I can perfectly recommend this hotel for this reason.

Of course, this is not the Ritz, this means:
- Hotel and furnishing look pretty old fashioned (but clean, though)
- They have unfriendly notices about what they will charge you extra for everywhere (e. g. you will be billed EUR 10, if you want them to change the address in your invoice...)
- The room I had was dark and with little sunlight
- The hotel is outside the "real" city of Göttingen at a busy 6-lane road
