Unfriendly unhelpful and probably unhappy staff. Not one could smile. Any request was met with a sigh and a rolling of eyes. Room was hot and no air conditioning. Bed uncomfortable. One tiny thin pillow. Situated on very noisy main road on outskirts of city. This plus noise of creaking floors from narrow corridor made sleep impossible. Fire escape route tricky to follow and ended up in basement. Broken tiles on bathroom floor. We booked for 2 nights but left after the first night. Manager rude beyond words and refused to tell me who owned the hotel. It was a relief to leave. Then discovered the hotel had advised booking com that we were no shows in an apparent attempt to deny us the opportunity to leave feedback. We stayed in room 202 and have the invoice to prove it. The so called balcony is simply a section of shared flat roof so leaving the door open would have been a security risk. The hotel restaurant is a pizzeria and empty at 8pm on Saturday evening. The Cafe del Sol about 200 metres up the road was busy and good.
The hotel free wifi was unusable and the desk clerk rolled her eyes and said no one else had complained. We carry 3 wifi devices and none worked here but worked well enough in all the other hotels.
It was a great relief to leave this hotel after one night even though we paid for 2 nights.
