I came here for work purposes (walking distance to the university). I know the university puts people up here on a regular basis, but my impressions are mixed. On the good side of things, the breakfast is nice (although they're not always ready with everything at 6:30, when bf is supposed to begin), they have wireless internet without extra charge, and my room was clean. On the not so good side, the room and the bed are tiny (no, I am not overweight), the TV screen is smaller than that of my laptop, there are no amenities at all, and the room has the two unattractive features: (i) it opens up to a backyard which seems to have a dovecote or so, which means that you have quite some pigeon noise from really early in the morning till the evening (I am used to animal noises in general, but this was somewhat annoying, esp. when you want fresh air and open the window even only a bit). (ii) there is a tainted-glass type of window-thing in the ceiling. I guess the idea is that it lightens up the room or something. What it also does, however, is not allow you to go to sleep aearlier (to recover from jetlag) in anything but broad daylight. I really wondered why the window had two curtains given that there is no way in hell you get the room dark anyway because of this ceiling thing before it is really dark outside. Thus, you should really only stay here if you're out of the room from morning till rather late in the evening - if you need to spend any time in the hotel as such, you will not be happy ...
