Summary:
Hotel Freizeit In is a great hotel, with a ton of wellness and fitness services ~ all of which I don't really utilize. Food and room were great! My biggest trouble is that this hotel is a long way from Goettingen's active areas.

Pros:
- Very clean hotel
- Staff was awesome
- Fitness / Wellness (massages, saunas, yoga, large fitness center, etc...)
- Food and Drink (expensive, but not outragous, and typical for a nice hotel)

Cons:
- Location (see below)

Freizeit In is close to Autobahn 7, so maybe this works good for you. But for me, I never drive in Europe, and typically utilize the public transit and friends. This hotel is approx. 1 hour walk to downtown Goettingen, which is where all the action is. Only things within a 5 minute walk in this part of town is a large OBI, KaufPark with a few stores, Cafe del Sol (restaurant), Burger King, McD's, and a casino ~ but for visitors, one must find their way downtown.

That said, there is a bus stand immediately outside, and the bus is inexpensive and easy to navigate. The taxis will be there in about 10 minutes too. If you're German is shabby, like mine, ask the front desk and they will call one up. All the staff spoke English very well, and was extremely courteous.

Food in the hotel was great, especially Breakfast, which was buffet style and free! I love, and always miss, the great Krombacher Pils ~ which is popular in this area of Germany.
