We knew Wiesbaden would be sold out - so we reserved rooms for October way back in April. The trip involved stays in 3 different hotels. All other hotels - small inns - emailed reservation confirmations, but I never got one from Hotel Am Schlosspark. Sure enough, when I phoned before we left, they only had us staying one night when I originally booked two - and they only had us for one room when we needed 3. Perhaps it was the language barrier, their English seemed to be fine. They were sold out, but said they would call back or email whether or not they could get us in anyway, but then never did even after 3 call backs over 3 days.
So we scrambled and found other rooms in Wiesbaden. And rebooked - carefully - very clearly this time: 3 rooms for Friday and Saturday night stays - departing Sunday.
When we got there, surprise! They only had us for ONE night, and had nothing available for the second night, leaving us stranded once again. We saw the rooms we were to stay in, and they were tiny - not enough room in the double room to set up a "pack and play" for our 2 year old.
It's a nice modern hotel, even if they crammed a lot of rooms into a small building, but you can't reliably reserve your room with Hotel Am Schlosspark. I've never had a problem like this with any other hotel after many stays in Wiesbaden and throughout Europe!
In the end, we stayed instead at Hotel Um Scheppen Eck, around the corner from Hotel Am Schlosspark, and not only was the location fantastic, the rooms were twice the size, for less money! Hotel Am Schlosspark were nice enough to find us this hotel, but unfortunately we will never attempt to stay there again.
