We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights whilst visiting the Christmas markets in Rudesheim, Koblenz and Frankfurt. After arriving very late at night, following a long day traveling, we were quickly able to get into our room - No. 117 over in the annex.

We were so tired we would have slept anywhere! In the morning we noticed that our room was very basic especially compared to the one advertised in the leaflet and the website. But it was quite big and clean. The shower was also wonderful!

We ate three breakfasts and two evening meals at the hotel. I am quite a fussy eater and was concerned at first but the food was really nice and I definitely didn’t go hungry.

The bar closes at 8pm but I think if you have gone away then it is a bit sad if you want to spend all of your time in a hotel bar….? It was only a short walk into Rudesheim - a really nice little town with several other bars! The area around Rudesheim is also pretty with lots of castles.

This is a small but very pleasant hotel ideally placed for walking into the centre of Rudesheim for the shops, riverside walk and in our case the Christmas market.

Breakfast was excellent, with more than enough choice. If anyone leaves the breakfast room still hungry then it's their own fault!

There was no choice of menu at dinner, but the food offered was plentiful and of a high standard, especially the braised beef which was to die for!!

Our room wasn't huge and the decor was a bit dated, however everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. A previous reviewer has mentioned road noise, and I could imagine that might be a problem in summer if you wanted the windows open. However, for us it wasn't an issue as the double glazing effectively blocked most of the noise out.

I would certainly stay at this hotel again.

This is not a Hotel, it has no restaurant, and no service after 8:00 pm.

It is situated on a main road, and the traffic noise is dreadful, the idea of a Hotel is that you can sleep. Not at this one.
My wife and I stayed there end of August 2006, compalined of noise. Told that I should expect this as Hotel was in centre of Rudesheim.

Avoid, not a Hotel, a baording house with no service.

a lovely place to stay. clean and comfortable. only a short walk to the xmas market, which is wonderful. for a great night out try the international bar.
be careful if you are vegetarian as the concept is not fully understood in this hotel, although one meal was veggie it was covered in beef gravy!
