“Strange hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2011

We stayed in this hotel for a night with colleagues. We wanted to save a bit of money on the rate during the Messe, but if you add the taxi fare [32 Euro] to the price of the room, you are better off staying at any 3-4 star hotel in Frankfurt.
The rooms are in a different, dorm like building, separate from the reception building. The rooms are very basic, small but clean. The only thing I disliked was that I could hear the water running from the surrounding rooms, when someone was taking a shower.
I'd only recommend it, if you have business nearby. As it is too far from Frankfurt by a taxi.

“Poor resteraunt”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2009

The food didn't taste of anything, and in the middle of dinner, the fire-alarm started, and didn't stop for about 30 minuttes.
Strangely, noone reacted to the fire-alarm, and no information was passed out to the guests.
Also we had to wait forever to order and pay.

“Large spacious lounge”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 September 2008

Hotel rooms were small and they were not full at all, but we were given a room far away at the back. Breatfast was E 15 each day - very expensive and food was not covered and small flies were hovering all over: when this was pointed out, restaurant manager just covered it instead of removing it all together.

We found the service terrible: the hotel staff did not have any information about tours or tour times: we were told no tours were available on holidays and we found out that was not true. Staff also told us to use the outside path to get to our rooms with our bags on a cold and rainy day: there was an indoor path which they did not mention at all!! Staff was couteous but just had no clue about their own services and did not seem to notice or care what guests needed.

House keeping was also not very good at cleaning our rooms: garbage bins were not cleared and our beds were not made most mornings. This was an old abbatoir (slaughter house) and frankly, we found the atmosphere very strange - rooms and main building are separated and spread out: very inconvenient for the elderly. We booked this hotel through United Airlines.

“Friendly hotel for tired tourists, loved the service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 May 2008

The first night in a foreign country for an inexperienced traveller is just plain scary. Took us quite a while to figure out where to pick up our baggage at Frankfurt Airport after a 12 hour daytime flight from Cape Town. Adventurous we had to be, so the inviting taxi was ignored and we took the famous German trains. All the ticketing officers where courteous, spoke English and we were soon on our way.
Reception was gracious and we were soon settled in a large room with space for all the baggage and plenty to spare. They even kept the restaurant open for us and we experience our first proper German meal, with beer for only €39. A wonderfull experience as we were the only people in the restaurant and never felt hurried.
The next morning, checkout only at 12, which allows you some time to sleep of the adrenaline of the flight, we checked our baggage into storage for free and spend the day exploring Offenbach and stocking up on supply's for our Motorhome.

I can honestly reccommend this hotel for all RV renters in Frankfurt, Good food, reasonably priced, friendly staff, able to converse fluently in English and an imaginative setting

“Unique Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2008

I feel like this is one of those hotels that stopped short of being excellent. Built out of a former factory, it’s unique and parts of it appear four star. But other parts seem extremely average.

The service, for instance. The employees working the front counter spoke excellent English, and were very friendly. Yet the hotel charges extra for parking and internet and, when I asked them to put the parking charge on my room bill (after already giving them my credit card for any extra fees accrued in my room…including internet usage), they told me that they would have to charge an extra fee for charging it to my credit card. ??? Obviously they don’t have to, they just choose to. Big difference.

The other thing is that, while the rooms were very spacious, clean, and nice, they in no way went the extra mile in providing those little details that make a stay stand out.

In addition, they had some sort of a convention meeting there (which seemed little more than a bunch of German business men meeting together) which had booked the entire restaurant for the entire evening. Unfortunately, the hotel isn’t really surrounded by much so there weren’t really a lot of other alternatives.

To be clear, this hotel was nice and certainly worth the £65 a night I spent to stay there. In fact, for that price, I was very happy. I just felt like there were a few things that could have made a unique hotel like this one really stand out.

That said, and again, the room was very spacious as was the bathroom which featured a full tub and shower, as well as a double sink.
