Nice rooms, clean bathrooms, the best breakfast choices that I've found in Europe. The only downside was that at check-in I was put in a smoking room, but it was fixed within 30 minutes.

Hotel was very nice, if you are not allergic to kitsch. Very true what I found in tripadvisor.com about gorgeous breakfast buffet. We didn't try spa, what is some way strange staying at spa hotel.
Some problems - reception staff not informed about package details: we had free dinner and some kind of bath; internet is very, very expensive and provided in especially unfriendly way (continouos time).

This is not really a hotel, but rather a small private resort. At times you will be assigned a room in the residential wing, and will have a small kitchen in your room. Nice if you're staying a few days. Situated on a small river just past a low waterfall, open your window and sliip to the sound of the stream. You have your own private park on the river. Amenities include luxe duvets and down pillows, plush robes and slippers. Decor varies greatly from room to room but is top-quality fabrics and carpeting, solid wood furniture and closeting. Not a chain hotel feature in sight. Breakfast buffet is not to be missed. Do not order room service breakfast or you will miss the panoply of extraordinary sausages, granolas, toppings, pastries, perfection eggs....Dinners in the restaurant are considered special by the locals and are top of the line white tablecloth with Liberace candelabras. Menu has extensive selection of fish and always features one or more wild game.

This is a beautiful hotel in Marburg walking distance to town, restaurants and shops. When I stayed there, I stayed in one of the one bedroom residenz apartments. It is quite large, even by US standards and beautifully decorated with cherry wood and gorgeous coordinated fabric. The apartments have a living room, dining room, full kitchen, large bath and separate bedroom. My unit had covered balcoy. The hotel has a huge breakfast buffet, sometimes included in the room rate and 4 restaurants on site. All that I tried were very good. I will be staying there again this spring. The staff is very pleasant and friendly and most speak very good English. I would most highly recommend this hotel.
