The hotel is located almost in the city center and is very good linked to the city center and to the ICE station Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe by tram, which runs every 15 minutes in front of the hotel. For taxi, it is most of the time too short destionation from the station or the city center and the taxi drivers get annoyed!?! The hotel reservation confirmation until you check in, and the hotel room key cover is valid as a city public transport ticket. This is included in your room rate. Rooms are a little bit old fashioned decorated but it is clean and big enough for single room. Breakfast was very rich. Especialy the bread and cakes category, as well as great for meat products lovers. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Internet is free available in the lobby area but in the room you have to pay for hot spot connection from deutsche telekom.

As part of a coach party, we stopped over in Kassel en route back to the UK. The hotel is located outside the city centre, and there wasn't really the time to walk in, or take the tram, which is a pity as Kassel looked interesting as we passed through.

The hotel is pretty average, what one might expect from the Ramada brand. My room was comfortable. I visited the leisure centre on the top floor with its sauna, etc, and I was impressed with the facilities. The park outside the restaurant was a lovely place for a stroll on a summer's evening.

Our room was on the 12th floor, beautiful view over the city. A park to stroll in just around the corner and the brakfast was incredible, more like a brunch! Totally worth every euro.

The Ramada in Kassel is mixture of good and ordinary. The staff is friendly, the rooms are large, and the breakfast very good (it was included in my rate), bottled water was available in several places, and the rate was a good value. For my stay, the housekeeping was terrible...the squeeze bottle soap ran out and was not refilled, and the same for the tissues, and some things were left half-done…even though I left a room tip. Most European hotels have stopped providing separate soap and shampoo...so when it runs out, there are no options (bring your own is the take-away here). I believe the whole hotel is non-smoking, which is nice for Europe. The television is an old CRT and just CNN and CNBC are available in English; the bathroom has a TV speaker which was cute. Internet is available through T-mobile wireless, at a large fee, or, if you have a US T-mobile WiFi account, it is $0.18 a minute.

To get to the hotel, it is about a 15 minute walk (uphill) from the DB station. You can take the #4 Tram which will drop you off about a half block from the front door. There is a parking garage across the street, but I did not find out if there is a charge.

Save some time to visit Kassel, including the park, as it is a hidden gem of a city.
