“A lovely idea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2010

A very simple idea. A basic no frills hotel that is clean and friendly near Frankfurt airport. Does exactly what it says on the tin, and a bit more. Beds very comfortable, service friendly, very clean room and excellent value. Also quite pretty.

I paid 49 euros and then splurged an extra 7 euros for breakfast and internet in my room. Breakfast is nice, 7 euros is a bit expensive but given the cost of the room it all works out.

“GREAT AFFORDABLE place to stay if you have to overnight at FRA”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2010

What a great economical option if you have to overnight at FRA! Free transfer from the airport (5 euros for the return trip) - shuttles run every half hour and take about 10 minutes. Rooms are simple and small, but clean and nice. The hotel has a bar and casual restaurant in the lobby. While I'm always inclined to stay on the airport property whenever I have an overnight layover, I always hate having to pay a premium for the convenience. On this particular trip, I'm so glad I opted for the Motel One, as it cost 1/5th the price of the hotel located adjacent to the terminals, and in my opinion, was equally nice and equally convenient. Would I want to spend a week in a Motel One room? Probably not. But for an overnight layover, it is an excellent option.

“Perfect Place to Stay if you are Flying out of Frankfurt”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

This is a very efficient, clean, surprisingly quiet place to rest before the long flight home from Europe. Truly the rooms are small, but certainly adequate, and most importantly clean, and quiet considering the motel is right on the highway. We paid around 8 Euro for the breakfast and it was just OK, but as someone else stated in another review - you get what you pay for, and we weren't disappointed. Another bonus, parking is free on site.

“bad experience dont stay here”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

I have stayed in motel one chains many times, and normally you feel its a safe option, and it does what its says on the tin. I met a friendly lady at reception on check in, but there the good points ended in dramatic fashion. I was given the card key to room 605, I open the door, to my horror I discovered there was a young couple already in the room and in the bed. The horror and shock on all our faces was awful.
I rushed down to reception to inform them, this time i met a male member of staff who shook his head and never even said sorry. I was even made to feel that I was putting them out changing rooms, even though there was already someone in the room i was given.
I was finally given the card key to room 616, to my horror the ac did not work correctly, and this was one of the main reason i booked motel one in the first place. I did turned on the TV to relax and forget about everything, the english TV stations were not working. I again made my way to reception, they have no phones in the rooms. I was then greeted if that the right word by the same unfriendly male member of staff. I informed him of my problem, he auctally ignored me. I was not having this, and only got a responce when i said I would take the matter to managment, I was told someone would call to remedy the problems. To no surprise of mine no one ever did. Motels one are charmless robotic places with zero services at the best of times, but when they dont even do what is says of the tin, then staying in one of them is a complete waste of time. Do not stay here unless you have no choice, I for one will never will again.
