We stayed in a Motel One in Munich, near train station, small rooms, but perfect for our purposes soooo.... we decided to stay in this Motel One too. When we arrived in Frankfurt we called the hotel for pick up (this was about noon) and were told they only picked up from the airport in the early am and after 4 p.m. They then proceeded to give us instructions for taking a bus to the Motel (two transfers w/luggage) or taking a taxi which would have cost 30 eu. We then checked at the airport service desk and found a hotel that had pick up and return (the Motel One only picked up and then you had to pay to get back to the airport 25 eu). I called Motel One (this was about 1 p.m.) to cancel our booking and was told that our booking needed to be cancelled 3 days prior to the reservation date (as opposed to the one in Munich which was on a 6 p.m. hold). Long story short, we lost the $ on the Motel One because we opted for the pick up and return to the airport from the hotel provided to us at the service desk (for free both ways), which turned out to be cheaper then actually staying at the Motel One!!! THEY ARE NOT NEAR THE AIRPORT AND ARE NOT AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION FRIENDLY AND ..... THEY HAVE A 3 DAY PRIOR TO RESERVATION CANCELLATION POLICY. BEWARE!!

As usual motel one is a good choice for budget hotels in Germany, however you need a car to get the Frankfurt-Niederrad one!

Motel One is kinda cool - its super simple and compact, but comfortable for a low cost operation. For 59 EUR right by FRA, its an easy night stay for a morning flight the next day. We stayed here, used the pay parking (with in and out privlidges) drove into the city centre, spent an evening in the city, back to the hotel and out on the 10:00 flight to YYZ. Check in and check out is fast. Rooms are simple with comfortable beds. The hotel is literally right beside the autobahn, but the windows keep the room quiet. There is no phone in the room and there is only one kind of soap provided (hair and shower gel or something) and wireless internet is billed to your room - but you can go to the trendy lobby for free WiFi - we saw lots of ppl doing this and enjoying coffee. This hotel chain was recommended to us by two colleagues and did not dissappoint.

A very simple idea. A basic no frills hotel that is clean and friendly near Frankfurt airport. Does exactly what it says on the tin, and a bit more. Beds very comfortable, service friendly, very clean room and excellent value. Also quite pretty.

I paid 49 euros and then splurged an extra 7 euros for breakfast and internet in my room. Breakfast is nice, 7 euros is a bit expensive but given the cost of the room it all works out.
