“quirky and unique business hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

This is pretty much a business hotel as the surroundings are far from scenic. Location is pretty good too, a short ride from the airport and if you want to go downtown there's a tram station nearby. It is funky in design, it seems to look like a tulip from afar. The interiors are a bit quirky too. Brightly painted hallways, colorful rooms and the giant roses wallpaper in the toilet. I find it uniquely European, that they put two single beds to make a queen-size bed and I'm not particularly keen of.

Breakfast at Gaia is a treat, I always make it a point to enjoy breakfast whenever I'm in Germany.

“Cool Space, Solid Experience.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Stayed at this Radisson on a overnight layover between flights. I arrived at the hotel via taxi, no issues - the building is unique in appearance and easy to find.
Check-in was a breeze, front desk staff were welcoming and friendly.
The room I thought was funky and cool. I had a view to the south, over a major road but despite the proximity to the traffic, noise was minimal.
The room was clean and well maintained, a tad on the small side but because I was travelling alone size wasn't a big deal. Bathroom was in good shape.
I was too tired to go food hunting so I ordered room service, My order arrived fast and the food was delicious.
There was a extensive breakfast buffet, one of the largest spreads I've ever seen, pretty impressive. Restaurant staff were pleasant and attentive.
Check-out was easy, no surprises and I was given good directions on how to get back to the airport.
The hotel is located a short distance from the downtown core. I chose to take public transport to the airport which was pretty painless. The tram stop is a short walk from the hotel which goes to the central train station (10 minutes from hotel), where I transferred to the airport train. Total travel time, about 30 minutes.
Solid hotel, friendly staff, would definitely stay again.

“Good hotel in a good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

I stayed here in January 2012. It is located about 15 or 20 minutes from the airport and about 10 minutes from the city centre. The lobby is comfortable and it has an interesting decoration. The staff is fairly polite. Checking in and out was easy. There is 2 panoramic lifts to go to the room. The room is colorful and comfortable although a bit narrow, and the bathroom is spacious and clean with all the amenities. The bed is very comfortable to have a 12 hours sleep. Tv channels selection is average with almost every single channel in german. Internet connection although it was free it was also slow. The minibar is automatic but there is space for your belongings. I didn't try room service or restaurant.

“A fun shaped, business hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I had a reasonably late flight into Frankfurt and had booked the Radisson Blu. It is very convenient from the hotel and only a short taxi ride to the city centre or financial district. A perfect business hotel, I was situated in a business class hotel room which was fantastically vast in size and also had a fantastic city view. I was situated on the 13th floor and with a large bay window was able to see a huge horizon and landscape. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in for months in hotel rooms. 5 star.

“Very clean but food very average and poor internet connection for business”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Very clean hotel, friendly staff. Room small but tidy and in good state of cleanliness.
Room service food poor, french fries not properly cooked.
Have stayed here several times on business , and on each occasion internet access has been an issue.

Despite calling helpline, problem was not resolved. No connectivity in room despite advertised internet wifi access included.
Internet access better in reception if you can stand the noise of frequent guests arriving and departing.

Come on Radisson , sort it out please.
