Have been staying at this hotel twice a year since 2006 when attending exhibitions. The location is excellent - just a couple of minutes walk from the Dom/Romer underground station, and only 3 stops to Messe Frankfurt either directly by underground or if changing to the S-Bahn at Hauptbanhoff. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the included continental breakfast offers good variety plus excellent coffee. Prices are on par with other hotels in the area, but as elsewhere during prime exhibition dates, the rates are significantly higher.
The rooms don't have air conditioning but they're clean and the space is adequate. The free wifi works and there is a small desk area as well as a cupboard and somewhere to lay out your suitcase. The rooms now have flat screen TV's. The beds with a duvet instead of sheets/blankets are clean and OK and all the plumbing in the bathrooms work.
The hotel doesn't offer food other than breakfast but there are lots of bars and restaurants in the local area - not least the Paulaner located immediately around the corner above which the hotel's rooms are situated.
The location is very convenient for shopping, restaurants, and any public events that might be 'happening' in town. I'm looking forward to my next visit. If you are intending to stay during exhibition dates, you may need to book quite a few months ahead as this hotel does attract many repeat visitors who re-book early.
