Arrived at the hotel early around 11am after my flight, however room not ready and just left my luggage. I could only check in around 11pm same evening .The hotel looks very amatuer, just an adaption of an old house with rooms divided. Was very cold in the room and did not seem clean .I went back to reception and ask for cancellation .They just said "they work parttime and they ll call me next day " .I took my luggage and left.
Despite my calls and emails no one replied. As a consequence, our company complained to hotels.com too , but no result and we have been charged 450Euro for NOT staying at the hotel .I called personally and had the most impolite and rude discussion with hotel management- that just told me" there is nothing he can do ". He will not send an emails to hotels.com confirming that I left the hotel the first night !.

All that has been said about this Hotel is right. However
it should be noticed that during nights there is roar of couples making love. Many of them reserved rooms only for that purpose. It looks familiar with the brothel

We stayed at the Sophien back in March of 09 for 3 days and were greeted warmly by Christian at the front desk who took care of all of our needs.
The rooms are clean comfortable and quite functional. The rates are very reasonable. The breakfast is excellent and we plan to stay there again on our next visit to Frankfurt perhaps in 2010.

The hotel is well located, not far from the Tradefair place (about 15 minutes walk). About 30 minutes walk to the centre. Thee is a parking available for a fee or free of charge around the corner. The breakfast was great. The only MINUS was non-functional heating in the bathroom. DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR A NON-SMOKING ROOM! They did put us in a smoking one but all was quickly solved and we were moved into the non/smoking one. The hotel was really clean!
