“Very polite rip off”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2010

Stayed for one week. The fist day there was no linen or towels. The second day there was no water. My sink leaked on the floor and couldn't be used. It was not fixed the whole week. I tried to check out one day early and asked for one days refund. They refused because they said they would not be able to rent the room. They rented it within one hour of my departure. The WI-FI never worked at all and in order to get the free breakfast, you had to walk to another hotel. During all of this they were very polite and apologetic, but there so so much incompetence that it didn't help. This place was definitely not worth the $1,400 I was charged

“Tiny rooms, very average hotel but great breakfast.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2009

There are three good things about this hotel:
1. The breakfast
2. The location to the train station
3. The helpfulness of the staff
However I have to say that there are a few downsides as well.
The rooms are tiny...I mean the title of the hotel should have given it away...Paris Hotel...meaning dog box, budgie cage or match box...and the bathroom was micro.
When I arrived mid afternoon and went to my room, it was still not made up from the previous guests, I had to leave my luggage there, quickly change and go out so that the room could be serviced.
Then we had a massive thunderstorm and soon the carpet is damp...no not damp...very wet. I called up the Manager and he put some very thin towels down on the carpet. Also, the shower was only luke warm at best. The manager thought it was from the sudden influx of guests arriving and all using the showers at once and offered to turn up the thermosat. I wasnt convinced this would work and was proven correct the next morning with again another luke warm shower. The manager was very apologetic but did nothing to really resolve the issues like reduce the rate. Finally, the hotel is multilevel but does not have a lift. ...something that is lacking in their advertising. You have to lug your luggage up a windy staircase.
So with such a proliferation of hotels nearby, I would shop around for better value for your money.

“good service in an excellent location”

Definitely recommended. The best value for money you can find in the Bankers' City.

the location really is excellent: city centre - 15 min walk, central railway station is literally round the corner.

the service was also really good. Friendly receptionist, she speaks good clear (although with an accent) English, was very helpful.

in short, go for it!
cheers.

“The place that you can not find similar place with same price in Frankfurt”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 March 2009

I was searching for a hotel nearby the train main station. and I didn't want to be in a red light district area as well. because main station is so close to red light area and many of hotels are located there.
I also didn't want to spend a lot of mony just for sleaping in a hotel, the cheapest was the best for me. accually I wanted a hostel but the reception convienced me to stay at that hotel.
her confidence about the services, such as private bathroom, direct phone number at room, TV and refregeratore all was provieded.
and the interesting point was that, all this fasilities, in addition to the close distance to main staion- just 5 minutes by walking- and also breakfast costs only 40 euro per night.
if you want stay in frankfurt the best place is near the main station because there are many connections from there to each city that you want to go.
Paris hotel is just close to the Main station and it is clean, safe and convenient.

“O.K. for the price, but I would pay a little extra & stay somewhere else.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 June 2008

This hotel was O.K. for the price, but I would pay a little more & stay somewhere else. I laughed when I saw the room. There were 3 single beds. No phone. Difficult to figure out the TV. Couldn't figure it out 'til the next morning. Left over soap in the shower & someone's half used shampoo bottle. Couldn't find anywere to turn up the heat & the room was cold. Duvets on the bed. Pancake flat pillow. I stayed one night in Dec. of '07. The hotel website had a rate of something like 70 euro. I got a deal on Orbitiz for something like 40 euros. The hotels around the airport seemed expensive. I arrived late & left rather early. The one reasonable priced hotel near the airport, I cancelled because of poor trip advisor reviews. Past customers said the the airport shuttle was iffy & one could get stuck paying an expensive cab to that hotel. This hotel offered breakfast. They were out of hard boiled eggs in the morning. Usual rolls w/ jam, coffee or tea. For the price, of course it was worth it, & better than staying at the airport, which I wouldn't do. And, better than paying exorbant airport hotel prices. I had a nice gentlemen help me figure out the train. He was actually going to the downtown train station & switching there, so he rode w/ me & helped me find my way. At the train station, I went into a store & asked for additional help. Without all the help, figuring out the train would have been stressful for me. It is 3.60 euro 1-way to ride the train directly from the airport to the downtown station. The train station is supposed to be in the red light district, full of drugs & prostitutes. I didn't see this, but I did see one lady drinking alcohol in the open that was unsavory. At the train station, I walked up the stairs, turned right out the door, turned right on the street, & walked to the end of the block, & turned left. The hotel is a minute-ish walk. There looked to be a nice pub around the block. And you could walk down to the river & to old town Frankfurt where there were apple wine taverns, etc. The location is good. The towels were threadbare & worn. It was clean. Not sure about the left over soap & shampoo bottle though? I still think I would pay a little more & stay somewhere nicer. It didn't look like the website. I had to cancel w/ Orbitz on a return stay as I had to shorten my trip & had no problems w/ the cancellation. No cancellation fee & no problems w/ the hotel. The front desk clerk was nice. The breakfast women did not seem friendly.

  • Liked — Convenience, location, & price.
  • Disliked — No phone. Cold. Difficult to figure out the TV. Threadbare towels. Leftover soap/shampoo bottles. Holes in walls.
