Having looked at the reviews on trip advisor we decided to give this hotel a go, we travelled from Hahn Airport via coach and were dropped at the front of the main train station, we walked to the back of platform 24 and easily spotted the Bristol Hotel. On check in we received a cheery welcome from a very pleasant, who had very good english, he informed us breakfast was to be served until 1pm which we thought, great!
the room was located on the 3rd floor, and was reasonably spacious, the room was warm so we opened the windows, as no air con.
the breakfast served was wonderful, again, best breakfast i have found to be served in a hotel abroad. We checked out as we were visiting another city - but we returned to this hotel for our last night stay, we were allocated a room on the 5th floor - somewhat smaller - and much warmer - with only a small window to open, honestly, found it very stuffy.
Our second night wasn't so good, our door was OPENED no fewer than 6 times (and that was when we were in the room) by the maid both on the day of check in and on the morning, as early as 6am which woke me up, she continued to knock and open the door another 2 times after this even knowing we were still in bed!
we went down for breakfast - having been told no different, assumed it was still being served at 10.30 (and was greeted by a waitress who said breakfast all finished) - i explained we had not been told this and we just wanted to grab something quickly from what looked a very replenished buffet selection - she wasn't helpful, until another young waitress was very kind and said we could have our breakfast since we didn't know - she even troubled herself to offer us coffee which we declined as it was clear they were all on a break - we appreciated her kindness as we had a long day ahead and only wanted a quick bite, had we known breakfast finished earlier on this bank holiday we would have gone down earlier!
Great location, taxi about 7 euros into the centre, one charged us 10 euros but he was in the minority and had no metre.
Irish Bar called O'Reillys just round the corner - opposite the front of the station, good food and drink.
Room Tip: ask for an end room as seem larger - and put the do not disturb sign on door!

Dear BrummiDancer,
wow, thank you very much fort this very detailed review on your stay in our Hotel.
On the one hand we are happy you enjoyed your stay to a certain extent, but obviously are not happy about , you being woken up 6 times by our cleaning staff. And we also apologize for the inconveniencies upon breakfast, which should have been told you upon check-in. (breakfast times during the week until 10:30 a.m. and until 1p.m at weekends)
Now there is not much more to say, than we would be happy to welcome you here again at your next Frankfurt stay, to prove better.
With kindest regards
Your BRISTOL Team
