First of all I have to congratulate this hotel for hiring the perfect photographer, the website pictures really lead you to a very wrong impression. The hotel was attractive to be a typical local style hotel. The main issues were the quality of the room and the SUPER NON friendly hospitality from the staff.... The room was very old and small, the bed was single instead of double, the shower was awful and didn't really work well... The issue was not being old, but the room was not taking care and for a rate of 80€ excluding breakfast you would expect better. If it had a rate of 15/20€ a night I would give an OK review, but for this price and quality.... plus no free wifi connection. NOT ADVISABLE - probably one of the worst hotel I have been

My husband and I have stayed here two times this fall. Location is GREAT! walk about the city and do visit the Market in the Square on Saturday morning ( look up at the modern balconies and find the cow staring down at you!)! The Restaurant is Fantastic- and well worth a stop even if you aren't going to spend the night!! Top ranked chef produces local and seasonal specials. Delicious!! The decor is historic, warm, inviting one to take a step back in time. The staff is friendly, professional and welcoming. Owner Riener Heiss is a true hospitality professional and believes in carrying on traditions. 20 minutes from FRA makes it a great place to stay before taking an early morning flight or after a late evening arrival. Rooms are modest, in old tradition, but quiet. This really is a great find in a revitalized city!

Quiet hotel (except when churchbells ring 8AM til 8PM) on pedestrian street near old buildings. Easy walking around to see castle, ault rathaus, etc and shopping. Room large in old building (with rafter through it) but bathroom and lighting modern and good heat that I could control. A few blocks from a WONDERFIL bakery/cafe where I should have had breakfast instead of at the hotel. Breakfast not extensive or interesting at hotel - just a short walk to better places. also, taxi from Frankfurt airport (pre0arrangfed through Rhein/Maine taxi service took about 20 min for 33 euros.
