I had two stays here very recently - because it was walking distance to where I needed to be - not because I thought it was that great. It is very close to the railway station which means you have to avoid the rooms facing the railway lines - even the higher floors are super noisy despite the double glazing. The rooms are quite large but look and feel really tired, with bathrooms that were slightly smelly and not as clean as they could have been. If you want to iron something you have to go to a shabby little room on the 2nd floor. Really uninspiring and disappointing overall - especially since other Maritims in Germany are often much better than this.

My room faced the railway, so even on the 5th floor it was a bit noisy.
Breakfast was good, and so was the restaurant in the evening.

This is one classy place. Feather comforters and pillows. Sauna and pool. Location near train station, right on the Airliner bus route from Frankfurt Airport. Windows that open, if you want them to. Currency exchange at nice rates.

And the FOOD. This is the most glorious breakfast buffet I've ever seen. There had to be 30 kinds of meat, that looked like lunch meat, but transcended far above in taste. 3 kinds of liverwurst. 4 kinds of fish - lox, herring, and two I didn't recognize but loved none the less. Cheeses. Butter in logs (salted or unsalted) to carve off what you wanted.

And Breads. Sooooo many breads. I counted 15 one day, not counting pastries. The pretzel rolls stole my heart, but the hearty ryes were not far behind. Most of these, you carve your own slice.

Along with these were cereals and serving bowls of yogurts and granolas; 10 jams and 3 kinds of honey; weiners and beans and soup and boiled eggs and pickles and mustards. And hot tea (with tiny personal tea pots) and juices, and a lovely server who made it clear that "coffee" translates just fine.

A lovely spread, a lovely room. Warning: if you cannot sleep with the sound of an occasional train, be sure to mention that when you book your room. I found the sound very comforting, but some did not.

I booked this hotel based on company travel website and colleague recommendation (they have a pool and I love swimming in the morning)
I tried changing the departure date on arrival, staff at the front desk wasn't helpful, next day in the morning went to the pool, elevator broken, used stairs, pool door closed. Called reception, they were adamant that door is open and that they'll send someone to check. 10 minutes later, door was still closed :-(

Called to get iron, reply go to 2nd floor and there is a ironing room :-(

Room service food was good.

Rooms are old but clean. Got a room on the train side, it is pretty loud everytime a train passes, luckily was very jet legged, so didn't notice it during the night, but yes in the morning when I woke up

I'm pretty disappointed for the price of the room per day
