Stayed for 1 night only. We didn't get in until midnight. The bar was closed as we were told it was empty. We asked for a drink and were told to use the mini bar in the rooms. We had just driven for several hours and wanted to unwind. No luck
Apart from this the hotel is very nice and breakfast was good with a wide choice. Rooms are spacious and clean.
I had a walk around the local area the next morning and there does not appear to be much to see. There is a college, a cinema and a main train station but other than those very little.

Everything in this hotel seems old style: carpet, furniture, even the internet.
In particular the bed was quite uncomfortable.
I actually thought about changing the hotel during a one-week business stay.
On the plus side: it's close to the main station and its easy to get dinner nearby without spending your entire per diem.

Well, there are not really any other hotels around. Lucky, for the owners of this hotel. Because if there were, they would not have many guests. They price themselves as an ordinary business hotel, but the basics are not there. Examples: No form for filling out your opinions. No line for adding a tip on the restaurant bill, even though the waiter says the forbidden words "tip is not included". Wired LAN in the room does not work. No Coca-cola light in the minibar (but 2 bottles of fat cola!). Only one piece of chocolate in the mini bar - with hazelnuts! So, if you have an allergy, this hotel is not for you.

I stayed for four days in early December 2010, the hotel is a little dated, decor still from the 80's, smoked mirrors etc, staff were very friendly, Superior room was clean and comfortable, washroom was new. Other guests I was with indicated their rooms were not as good. I wish internet was free, 29euro for one week. Breakfast was acceptable but a little expensive at 17euro. Not a cheap hotel, probably a little overpriced but, from what I've heard, the best in Darmstadt.
