This was a very unique experience. The owners were very friendly and we felt very much at home. The room while older had been renovated and was good value for the money. This was a good location near the very busy shopping district. It was also reasonably priced and a great choice when compared with the cost to stay in Frankfurt. We were close to family in the area. Parking was limited but the owner made every attempt to keep his personal spot for any guest that required it. A nice place to stay.

We booked this hotel to go to the Frankfurt Bookfair. We used to stay with friends in the very same street, but they moved and so we decided to give Haus Daheim a try.
It is a B&B, or Pension, as the Germans would call it, more than a hotel.
The reception was wonderful and the house is beautiful. It has high ceilings, often with wonderful stucco features. Our room was very big and there was a TV and tea making facilities and the WiFi internet access was free. As you may have read from the previous review, the bathrooms were retrofittes into the rooms, but it was done in the highest quality - excellent! Ok, if someone needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, he better not switch on the lights in there, as the bathroom wall is frosted glass and the lights will illuminate the whole room.
There is also a wonderful breakfast room, very cosy and the breakfast is wonderful.
We were very happy to have found this and will most definitely make this our regular hotel for trips to Frankfurt (very easy connection by bus and S-Bahn) and the fair.

Good location, by a park and a couple of great Spanish and Italian restaurants. Neat older builder, gorgeous room with high, decorated ceilings and antique furniture. Weird port-a-potty bathroom fixture obviously installed in the room well after the building was made -- like something from a ship, really. Breakfast was nice, service friendly. Recommend it -- but don't be surprised by the weird WC!
