The YoHo (Youth Hotel) in the Elmsbuettel district of Hamburg is conveniently located next to 2 U-Bahn stations and close to the S-Bahn, meaning easy access to the city in less than 5 minutes, 20 mins walking.

The rooms themselves are modern, clean, although slightly on the small side. The private bathroom is however, excellent. Free internet access is also provided for the duration of the stay, as is car parking behind the hotel (behind a gate).

The only negative point would be the lack of air conditioning. Also because the window only open about 15cm its hard to cool down the rooms on hot summers days/evenings.

I stayed in the YOHO for the tourism trade fare in Februray 2008. I have to say, that the hotel was very fancy...newly restructured in an old Victorian Villa. It is centrally located (in easy walking distance to Schanzenviertel and trade fair) and 5min walk to subway station Schlump.
The great thing is, that they have reduced prices for persons under 26. But still the hotel is worth the whole rate :-)

Honestly spoken I was a bit disappointed by the seize of the single rooms. But the rest made it up...so no problem.

Breakfast was basic, but good. Free Internet Access in the Lobby!
