Unless you want your stay in charming Hamburg destroyed by this bad hotel, you should not stay in Wikinger Hof. We came as a group with our entire luggage and was faced to a steep staircase reaching 4(5) floors up. No elevator, the shower (miserable and blocked up) was in 4th floor. We didn't dare to think what would happen in case of fire. And our rooms were of mixed quality... One was bright pink with big brown stains under the mattresses and blood on the bedside. Result: We buy our own sheets and put them over the dirty beds. But hurrah! The room had a shower. But unfortunately useless. The tap for the hot water was broken, no lamps were working. The remote control had an impressing operative radius of 2 m around the TV. In the other rooms there were also considerable drawbacks. This is a summary of the most significant ones: The towels were not changed, despite desperate tries to signalize that we wanted a new one, noisy neighbours at night, broken locks in the doors, very dirty carpets, disgusting smell of smoke etc.; in general a very shabby hotel, and so was its surroundings.
