I needed a single room for 1 night in Hamburg before leaving for the aiport the next day. I found this place same day booking on hotels.com for an almost too good to be true price. While "you get what you pay for" I'd have to say this hotel was surprisingly good for the amount of money I spent. My room had a sink and a nice shower, but the toilet was "down the hall" in a separate WC. WiFi is available for an extra 5 Euros, and so was standard German buffet breakfast for 5 Euros. THE GOOD; room and WC were way cleaner than I expected in this pricerange, location is less than 5 minute walk from Central Train Station (with direct train service to Airport for 2.80 Euro), hotel is easy walking distance to downtown shopping areas, friendly staff spoke English well enough to make it easy checking in etc. THE BAD; rooms are tiny and typical of many European hotels (only have single beds), toilet not in the room, you have to leave your room key at the front desk when you go out. (They have old mechanical keys, not electronic keys you see in modern hotels).
