I booked this hotel to spend a weekend in Hamburg, after having read it´s adversitsing on several sites. This described it as:
- 2 train stops away from the main station
- Central and near the harbour
Both were true, but really stretching the definition. It was 2 train stops away, but the train station was 20 min away!! There was a bus (number 13) that took you directly from the train station to the hotel, but this was mentioned nowhere, so we ended walking for 20 min through a not very good neighbourhood, and empty roads. As for being central, it might be, but not in the center you want to be. The neighbourhood was NOT good, so you had to travel to the REAL central hamburg for everything, which was on the other side of the harbour. And the harbour itself was not visible, and behind fences with barbed wire!!
The hotel itself was fine, clean, comfortable, safe and with a nice breakfast, though the decor was a bit tacky. But it was NOT what was advertised, and rather expensive for what it really was.

“good hotel in quiet neighboorhood outside the city centre”
the hotel is situated in Hamburg-Veddel outside the city centre near the harbour, but easy to get (20 minutes by s-bahn train and bus or directly with bus 34 from the centre). bus stop is in front of the hotel. I had a 2-person room for 1. The rooms are big, bathroom is also big. Breakfast was ok. Good location if you want to stay in a quiet place.
