I arrived in Hamburg with nowhere to stay. I walked across the concourse in front of the Hauptbahnhof and spotted the Furst Bismarck. Thanks to the helpful and efficient receptionist, within twenty minutes I was settled in my room on the top floor with a view of the station. The room was clean but small, the bed comfortable and the bathroom adequate for the needs of the solo traveller. Included in the cost was two days' free travel on Hamburg's excellent public transport system. I found a very good Italian restaurant, the Casa di Roma, in Lange Reihe just around the corner from the hotel. Warning: If exploring the streets around the hotel after dark take care not to go left from the hotel entrance. I had only just withdrawn money from an ATM when I was approached by a prostitute. There were plenty of shady characters lurking around in doorways too. Miniatur Wunderland in Kehrwieder is well worth a visit for kids of all ages. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were staying a few days in Hamburg a couple of years ago. This hotel is easy to get to from the airport by bus which stopped right in the front of hotel. The rooms are quite small but clean and they have basically everything I need: a bed a shower and a hair dryer! A basic breakfest. The main railway station is just a few steps away. You could walk almost everywhere. We even went to the Reeperbahn which wasn´t actually so bad I had expected!!! We ate well at the restaurants and I remember this trip as very nice one!

I would keep an eye on my bags and wallet though around the railway station - there were quite many people doing drugs and working girls - even though we weren´t bothered.

Lovely hotel, rooms very comfortable and very clean. Rooms cleaned daily and towels changed as required. Excellent breakfast and very good service. The hotel is located within 100 yards of the main railway station and close to the main shopping malls. The receptionists were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. If ever we rturn to Hamburg the Furst Bismarck will be number one on our selection.

I booked this hotel diredtly on the net. It is ideatly situated directly across from the railway station with easy access. On arrival staff once again the staff was friendly and helpful, First sighting of the reception I saw that it was a clean hotel. Our room on the 4th floor overlooking a side street was spacious, very clean, good beds and shower. One thing that impresses me in these hotels is that the curtains were clean. Breakfast was good and sufficent for our needs. The hotel has free internet and printer which was handy. We felt very comfortable in this hotel and would have liked to stay longer but time did not permit. It is well situated in the city close to many restaurants.. Definately will recommend this hotel to others. Thumbs up for this hotel. Thank you for the stay.
