Checkin was fast and friendly.

I had requested a quite room when making the booking. This was given me as I got a room facing backside of the hotel. Room was a corner room being oversized - great !

WLAN is free and with acceptable speed. No fancy logon, it is just to connect. Very good !

Came in late and left early. Did not eat breakfast, but I have been to this hotel before, recalling it to be good.

Hotel is very central located, but some areas of the neighborhood is not nescessarily very nice. I guess that is the same all over the world with hotels near central station.

Stayed here one night while in transit to points north. We picked it on a lark after scrolling through our car's GPS for hotels along our route. The hotel itself is historic and in decent shape. Parking is a little lacking, but it's located near the central station so it's probably by design.

It's located near many clubs and cheap to mid-range restaurants. But it's also located near many adult establishments.

The rooms were a little on the small side, especially since the one we got was for three persons. The shower/WC was pretty adequate.

Could've used more power outlets. The pants press was not working.

A positive thing about this hotel was it's breakfast buffet and the staff. The selection was abundant, and the servers helpful and friendly. It also had it's own bar, which was nice for night caps.

On the positive side : good location with many buses and easy walk to the center.It is also very clean ...but the single rooms are so small that I couldn't empty my suitcase without putting it on the bed and then placing it under the only shelf which was also the only space for anything.The bed was quite hard but the main problem was the noise outside as this room was located just above the sidewalk and , in August , people love to chatter until late hours.One could also hear anything said or happening in the next rooms.
The restaurant was neither good or bad. It was strictly a place to sleep and breakfast ( the best meal of the day).

Well the hotel is an average Best Western, clean with enough room. Thing was neighborhood isn't nice at all, not the kind of place where you can be walking around at night time... Only one block away from a "gentlemen club" that runs all night, so it's not the kind of place where you'd take your family or you wanna be walking around by yourself, specially being a woman.
Other that that, gotta say I wasn't happy with the housekeeping. They'd just walk in the room when I was still there getting ready in the morning claiming they needed to check the minibar!! I agree, but not when I'm half dressed and without knocking!!!
On the plus side, gotta say, breakfast was good with a very nice variety and friendly staff.
There are better hotels for around the same price in the Hamburg area, so I'd recommend you to try somewhere else.
