Good location on the lively Reeperbahn, It is a pretty loud and lively part of the city but then if you are going to the Reeperbahn you probably arent going for a relaxing peaceful time.

Recommended if you are going to sample the night life and want some where basic to crash out for a few hours. Rooms were pretty large (bigger than the nearby Holiday Inn) comfortable had all the key facilities in good order.

We stayed in the hotel part of the hotel. Although a little worn, it was nice, clean and inexpensive. In the hart of the sex district of Reeperbahn.

I stayed at A&O Reeperbahn Hostel for a couple of nights on occasion of a conference. Location was great, right in the center of red light discrict which besides adult places offers many bars and pubs for youngsters. Unfortunately staff wasn't very polite and the room smelled of smoke, but sheets were clean and it was enough to open a window. Actually overall value wasn't great, but if you're just looking for a bed you won't find many other places were to stay for this price.
I had still a night to spend in Hamburg and wasn't able to book one night more in the hostel, it took just an hour to find many other places across the street, give it a try.

Started out bad with them not checking their email for the reservation I made through a 3rd party website the night before, it was supposed to be for 3 nights in a single room. I had to pay them for the room after already paying the 3rd party website to reserve a room which was extremely frustrating and a pain to resolve. The people at the front desk were also very condescending and dumb.

I stayed there one night in a tiny little dirty room that I had to hard time finding as I had to go through a maze of stairs and hallways just to find it. When I woke the next morning, I noticed blood stains on the sheets. Upon further inspection, I found a few bed bugs in the sheets as well as my pillow. I pulled the bed out and found at least a dozen or so bed bugs laying on the ground after feeding on me all night. I immediately found a nice hotel for the same price online and made a reservation there for the next two nights and I got out of the A&O as fast as I could. Thankfully, they were able to refund me but I will never set foot in there again nor will I let anyone I know stay there.
