This hotel was really good value. The pleasant village of Michendorf is just down the road and has a variety of good eating places.
The train only ran every hour and was a bit of trudge away at the other end of the village. However, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel and several buses run into Potsdam - just check the timetable before you intend to travel. It is a very nice bus ride taking around half an hour and the road appears to have been laid right through the middle of a forest with some very nice houses in amongst the trees.
Although not especially luxurious, everything about the place was clean and perfectly adequate. Not terribly impressed with the breakfasts but then would not complain bearing in mind how cheap it is. Would certainly recommend to everyone and would have no hesitation in staying there again.
