The hotel is situated only 200m away from the entrance to the park of Sanssouci and another 200m from the city centre of Potsdam. Ideal location!
The rooms are clean and big, there is even an umbrella for rainy days in the room to be used! The rooms all have a balcony/veranda with a view towards the park.
There is nothing bad to be said about the hotel but it could get louder in the future as a building site was established just when we got there.

I used to live in Potsdam a while ago and had to come back for a business meeting. I deliberatelly chose this hotel for its location at the very city centre. The staff was friendly and the services adequate. I found the building quite charming and enjoyed a nice breakfast. My only negative remark is that the room was rather small.

The best about this hotel is its location at the gates of Sanssouci park. The pedestrian area and the city centre are barely 300 meters away. And despite being so central, the hotel is located on a dead-end street, so that it stays wonderfully quiet.

Stayed here for 5 nights, almost couldn't ask for more. Staff courteous and helpful, rooms very clean. The location is good, since it's close both to Sanssouci Park and the town centre. We stayed in a superior double room which has a slightly unorthodox layout (e.g. the washbasin is outside the bathroom), which was however extremely sensible: the furniture made good use of the available space so the room was much more spacious than might otherwise be the case with that area. Easy to get to the hotel from the central station; our room cards were also provided with a stamp which functioned as a pass for both Potsdam and Berlin public transit, which is extremely convenient (though no-one ever checked them!).
One thing we didn't try was the breakfast; it might have been good for all we know, but 16 euro is a bit overkill, especially if the restaurant across the street offers breakfasts starting from 5 euro, and there are surely cheap options in town.
There is also a wellness/spa thing in the hotel; we didn't try that either.
Also wifi was a bit of a letdown: you have to purchase a voucher, but it didn't work for us. It worked if you bought a voucher through another company, but it was clock time rather than usage time, which was kind of a pity. However, they promise to make it possible to charge the vouchers directly to your bill soon.
Overall this hotel is to be recommended

Our room with balcony overlooked the courtyard. The room was nicely furnished with a table and 2 chairs in the room and also on the balcony. There was a sink in an alcove and then a separate shower and toilet - clean and functional.
There is a movie theme throughout the hotel with lots of photos and film posters.
All of the members of staff were welcoming and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was good and offered a wide variety. The restaurant is bright and pleasant.
The bar does not have a full-time barman, so it is very quiet and lacks atmosphere.
Underground parking is available at an extra cost – quite expensive at 15 euros per day, but very convenient. WLAN use is also charged separately.
We took full advantage of the Berlin & Potsdam travel ticket included in the room price and valid throughout the stay in both cities, with an excellent rail/bus/tram infrastructure – all very close to the hotel, providing easy access to all of the sights in Berlin and Potsdam.
The hotel location is good: a stone’s throw from the gates of the Sanssouci Park one of side and the Brandenburg Gate Potsdam on the other. There is a traffic-free shopping area on the other side of the Brandenburg Gate, with shops, cafes, restaurants, etc.
