I came out of the trainstation and saw this hotel at a distance. The building looks like it is a leftover from the DDR period, but it has been modernized inside.
If you arrive by train from Berlin, take the Babelsberger exit, not the Stadmitt exit, because then you can walk through a shopping arcade to almost across the road from the hotel. I went out the 'wrong' way and ended up walking the Lange Brücke ( Long bridge ) to the hotel. Too far to walk this way if you have heavy bags. It looked much closer to the train station on the Google map. This time I did not read TripAdvisor, I just looked up Google map and found this hotel to be the closest to the train station.
The room was compact, but fine for one person. The bath was 100% to my liking, except the wash basin is not in the bath, but in your room like in some american hotels.
TV program lacked most english channels, ended up watching CCTV ( Chines english) and France24 ( French in english).
Bed was ok.
Some outside disturbance from 6 AM, as the tram turns a corner right outside the hotel. I asked for a room away from the construction site across the street, and got room 1109 with a fine view. Windows cannot be opened for fresh air.
Restaurant was fine for an evening meal, but wine was expensive for being in Germany.

This hotel is great if you want easy connection to public transport system,all right on the door step, even for Boat trips as the "habour" is out side. Being born in Potsdam and regularly going back I sometimes stay here as it is convenient and easy to get around from here. But shop around for a good price!The hotel rooms are small but clean, food is ok but nothing special. In the summer you can sit on the terrace under palm trees and watch the river cruise boats come and go and enjoy a glass of wine or snack in the spanish "El Puerto" Bistro/Bar. A word of warning in the winter these palm trees are cover by are large tent and the terrace turns into a disco/night club at weekends. fine if you want to rave the night away, not so good for a good nights sleep. A room on the higher floors might be an option. Anyway, Potsdam's Parks, gardens, castles the dutch Quarter etc are well worth a visit! And Berlin is onlt 20 mis away if you want it bigger and louder ;-)

hotel was ok, in the center, breakfast was the best from that all , room too small, staff ok, but with poor English, or not even that . By mystake they charge us twice. Of course we notice that, but still it was difficult to get some information about solving thit case... Anyway, in the end we didn't hear even "sorry for our mistake" what we believe had to be done on the first place.

I was put in a room next to the lift shaft. Everytime the lift was used I woke up.

The room was too warm. A notice on the window advised not opening it because of mosquitos. I don't think there was air-conditioning in the rooms.

Service in the restaurant was slow. I knew this from a previous visit so took a book to read at dinner between courses.
