We stayed at this hotel for almost a week while on a business trip, but also had our 1.5 year old daughter with us. The hotel was very sleek inside and modern architecture inside and out.
Our room was a penthouse, probably one of the nicest, and it was a bit of a walk down a hallway on the 3rd (?) floor and then up a flight up on outdoor metal stairs. However, there is an elevator nearby -- it's just on the opposite end of the hotel as the reception area. Not a big deal.
The room we had was actually two floors: downstairs was the living area with television, couch, chairs, and very small sink and refrigerator. Upstairs was a large bed, bathroom, and a very large shower. The shower was stone tile and has a glass door which is part of the wall of the bedroom -- the person in the room can see you in the shower.
Both downstairs and upstairs had floor-to-ceiling windows with a lot of light, but also window shades. The view is of the harbor and plaza area which has several restaurants, gift shifts, a cafe, and an aquarium (which we didn't visit). Cooking classes (fish) appear to also be offered nearby.
Breakfast was standard buffet, and we were happy with it. We had a great experience with the staff. Did not try to use the internet service in the lobby and do not know if they have wifi.
It's about a 15 minute walk to the main street, where you can find a few more restaurants and a self-serve laundromat.
Our only problems were because we had a small (walking) child. The stairs would be very easy to fall down, and in fact there was a small area near the window upstairs where a child could fall to the floor below. So be careful! The hotel provided us with a crib (actually a "Pack and play") but the bedsheet inside was very dusty -- we only realized this after our daughter was having a hard time breathing in her sleep.
We would be happy to stay here again if we had a need to visit Bremerhaven.
