We decided to visit Bremen for my birthday.Having visited before we decided that our best bet was outside the city.I found a deal for this hotel on Otel.com and after reading various reviews,booked it.On arrival we were allocated a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the conference rooms.This was an ideal location as we suffered no traffic disturbance.
The room itself was spacious and clean apart from a couple of marks on the wall.The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of tourist information in the room.
Well appointed bathroom with complimentary toiletries, plenty of towels and a good sized magnifying mirror.
As we were fairly late arriving we ate in the restaurant the first night. Small menu but excellent food and attentive staff. As the food and atmosphere was so good we reserved a table for the following evening (my birthday). Unfortunately just as we were having our starters there was an electricity cut which affected the hotel and everything on that side of the street. We finished our starters by candlelight (very romantic) and finished our first bottle of wine. The power cut lasted approximately 1 hour and resulted in one of the meals we had ordered being unavailable. We finished our meal and second bottle of wine and retired to our room to watch Sky sports. My partner went down to reception to get a couple of soft drinks and unbeknown to me spoke to the Night Manager with regard to the disappointing effect the power cut had had on our evening. Without any hesitation he refunded us the cost of one of our bottles of wine (e26.00).
All the staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful and friendly.
Buffet breakfast extensive and catered for all tastes - fresh fruit, cereals, cheese, cold meats, smoked salmon, herring, bacon, eggs and a variety of breads and much more.
In summary cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will certainly he returning in the future.
