We stayed in a 3-bedroom apartment. The apartment was large enough for our family with small children (under 7 years), but did not feel like a familyhome. The kitchen was very basic and the amount of kitchenware was limited. There was no highchair; so we had to buy one ourselves.
The apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. Probably an ideal place to stay in with friends or for a family with older children (>10 years old). The apartment is very central, so that makes it easy to see a lot of sites. If you eat out you won't be annoyed by the old kitchen. Which is perfect for a quick breakfast.

We LOVED the location of this apartment. It was directly near the main Berlin train station, the metro, the Reichstag, Brandenberg gates. We walked everywhere and only took the metro home once after we walked to the Kathe Kollwitz museum through the park. Unfortunately, there was lots of construction being done to the building and we were not told of this until our arrival. Scaffolding and plastic covers blocked our view from every window. Plus, the mornings were very noisy as workers drilled, yelled, etc. The owner offered us a different place after we arrived, however, it was only going to have one bedroom and since we have two children, we wanted two (plus the cost was going to be the same). I think we wouldn't have minded the construction if: a) we had been told about it before our arrival and given choices or b) given a discount for our inconvenience. Also, there is no phone or internet access here, in 2011 that is really a problem.

Anyone planning a trip to Berlin would do well to find a more convenient or welcoming place to stay. We booked the apartment through the internet and made our arrangements via email. Leonard (one of the two owners of the apartments) met us at exactly the time he stated with a warm smile and a bottle a champagne!

The apartment was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. It's in the most amazing location and is only a short walk from all of the main attractions in the centre of Berlin.

Berlin is a cool and laid back city and this apartment matched the feel of the holiday we wanted perfectly. I would definitely go back!
