Just returned from a long weekend in Berlin, specifically to visit the Xmas markets. Accompanied by parents, so we booked 2 double rooms for 2 nights. Had read previous reports so a bit concerned about what we were going to find. However, nothing at all to be concerned about when we arrived, our rooms were HUGE. We had a large room at the front of the hotel, so passing traffic could be heard but windows were secondary glazed. Bathroom very clean and well equipped, bedding clean and bed very comfortable. Parents room next door was also excellent, including a balcony which came in very handy for smoking breaks! Breakfast was included as part of the deal, nothing outstanding, just the sort of continental breakfast one would expect anywhere in Europe. The only slight hiccup was trying to understand the receptionists, as the only two we encountered did not speak English, however writing on a notepad and lots of pointing seemed to work! Not sure about everyone else's experiences, but I would definitely stay there again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to any of my friends.
