Amstel hostel Berlin Germany 
Amstel hostel was a fantastic stay!! A friend and I arrived on a Wednesday and shared a   Double room. The bunks were very comfortable and the room was clean with a little sink and mirror and a table! We got fit going up and down the stairs as the elevator takes about 5 mins to get to the 3rd floor! The check in time was not so clear on the website which put me off a little bit as I arrived very hot and tired and just needed a shower and when I booked I was asked for a approx check in time and I said I was arriving at 11am and  there was no response regarding the 3pm check in time, so I had to wait around for a coupple of hours. BUT when we went on FEDES pub crawl that night everything was great!! El payaso, Fede was a great host and we went to some relaxed bars that had excellent music and a great vibe!! then we finished with a BANG and a few Taquillas in a very awesome discotec called Matrix! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful at Amstel Hostel and there was always happening! The bar is great and a big open lounge area is awesome for hanging out. If your looking for inexpensive accommodation Amstel house is the one because it's simple but has all of the essentials and is just out of town but the subway is so easy that it doesn't matter. Amstel house all the way and you can also practise your german because all of the staff speak German and there is a few Germans staying there so you know it's a goodie. If you're visiting Berlin tjis is where you should stay if you sant some real hostel feeling. The tools are large so you have to get atleast one nice room mate. Of not; just finalen to the 24/7 open hostel bar and make as many new friends as you like. The staff really wants to help you and the wifi is gold.

I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of June and had a lovely stay. The hostel is in a quiet area outside of the centre of Berlin but don't let that put you off (there are buses and trains nearby to the city centre, and the transport service is excellent and easy to navigate). It was great to stay somewhere where there were travellers of a variety of ages, with a nice bar/common room area to mingle if you wanted to. I was impressed with the noise- it was quiet after around 10pm and people were very respectful. Overall, a great hostel!
