The hotel is located about 1000 meters from all major landmarks such as Alexandersplatz, Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin Dom, Potsdamersplatz.
Facilities are average, and subway station is about 100 meters form the hotel.

Don't expect a superb service, but its still a convenient hotel. Internet surcharges are about 9 euros, and the hotel doesn't have any room service.

I think is an average hotel for the money, much better than a hostel or standard 3 stars, but not as good as other facilities.

We stayed here over New Year. The location is very good. We were about 2 mins from the UBahn. It is about a 20-25 min stroll to Alexanderplatz; 10 mins to Checkpoint Charlie and 10 mins to Gendarmarket. It is very easy to walk to these spots.
We didnt use the hotel restaurant for dinner or breakfast so I cannot cooment on price or quality.
There was a problem in the morning of 1st January when the locks to all the doors stopped working. There was a master key and the chap had to go round every floor letting everyone in. A minor inconvenience but the staff were good.
Rooms were clean and a reasonable size. Pillows were a bit soft. I guess we could have asked for others if we had wanted.
No complaints at all and would use again without any second thoughts.

The Courtyard Marriott Berlin was what you expect from this chain. Clean and reasonably priced. They were doing construction in the front of the hotel but you never heard it during sleep hours or the morning. This hotel is walking distance to Spittlemarkt Metro stop so it was easy to get around the city. Nice employees who spoke English and made you feel welcome.

The hotel, interestingly enough, is not in the old West or East Berlin. It's where 'no man's land' was. A really convenient location within walking distance to nearly everything. There is construction at the moment immediately out front but it's actually not a bad thing as it keeps traffic and noise at minimum. Staff were very friendly and thoroughly helpful. Would absolutely stay there again.
