i just returned from a 5 daystay at this pension. I arrived around mid morning. I was buzzed in at the front door and saw a sign that the place was located on the fourth floor. I took a small elevator up--it was small and a little worn. It was a older establishment and a little frayed. My first complaint was at check-in. I had booked a single room ensuite. the desk manager had my reservation but told me that the room only included a shower and no toilet. But he had a cancellation for a single room that had one but it would be $6 more per night. I didn't argue and agreed to the difference. He also wanted payment up front. I presented my credit card but he wanted cash. I pointed to the credit card accepted sign and he relented. He took me down the hall and showed me the room. It was very small and spartanly furnished. A bed, small night stand. 1 wooden chair. and a tiny television on a rolling stand close to the floor. The rolling stand was needed to pull it alongside the bed in order to hear it. The volume was preset to the lowest possible setting and could not be adjusted. During the course of my stay my bed sheets were never changed and my room was never vacuumed. I found the breakfast to be adequate. There were rolls, juice, fruit, cereal, cheeses, and coffee. I also liked the location. It was one block from Kurfurstendamm st . There was a bus and u-bahn stop at the corner and made getting around easy. I also found a little currywurst stand at one end of the street where you could get very good and inexpensive food and beer. It was open around the clock. I would stay somewhere else on my next visit.
