My family and I stayed here for 3 weeks while visiting Berlin. We had an almost-2 year old with us. The staff were very friendly and helpful - providing a child's bed and highchair as needed. Rooms were cleaned daily - to a high standard. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean - with a small bar-fridge. (no kettle or microwave included). Beds were comfortable and the breakfast buffet superb (even after 3 weeks of eating it!) Lots of choice - breads, cheese, meat, cereal, eggs, yogurt, juice, tea, coffee... Close to bus and s-bahn transportation. Located in a more-expensive area of town for restaurants and shopping - but if you go over a few streets, things are a little cheaper. No place for children to play (other than the room), but there are many fun parks around - just need to do a little exploring. The zoo is close-by. We brought a stroller with us, and it "just" fit into the tiny elevator... 1 person, kid in the stroller and stroller- tipped at an angle. If not - there are 4 flights of stairs to climb... which could be an inconvenience if you have a larger stroller (we have babyjogger city mini). Wi-fi worked well and was a good price. Very tiny television, with only BBC and CNN in English. No a/c, but fan provided. Very highly recommended - with one child.

My wife and I took my sister to Berlin for her significant birthday treat and we stayed at this hotel. This place has a lot going for it: good location, nice rooms, a decent continental breakfast, cheap wifi and reasonable mini bar prices. However, on the first night we discovered a problem with a very creaky bed. We lived with this overnight (as it was too late to do much about it at the time) and basically slept on the mattress on the floor. In fairness the hotel readily moved us to a different room just down the corridor the next day which was fine except this had two very creaky beds!! At this point we couldn't be bothered to complain again and spent the next two nights with us both on mattresses on the floor - bearable but not what you want or need on holiday. A pity as we otherwise liked this hotel but dodgy beds are hard to ignore. This issue aside this is a reasonably priced hotel in a quiet location but within yards of a very lively shopping/night life street. Other minor quirks are the very small lift and no lift at all to the fifth floor. Lack of air con might also be an issue in a city that can get very hot in the height of summer.

We found this hotel to have helpful and friendly staff, a peaceful and spacious room inc fridge (provide your own kettle and tea bags!) and a lovely buffet breakfast. Just off Kurfurstendam, if you cross over said main road and go further down Bleibreustrasse, there is a supermarket on the left while the nearest S Bahn train station is along on the right. Close to the station is an excellent Turkish restaurant called "Mey" (or "Wey" - sorry). About no 46, I seem to remember. On the right anyway.

Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. My room was large, clean and very comfortable. The bed was a little firmer than I am used to, but ok. Parking was either on the street, or at the parking lot at the end of the street. We had no problem with the security of the car. Lots of restaurants close by. Very easy to get around the city from here by either bus or metro. I would definitely recommend this pension.
