Back again. You find something good when you travel on business and you stick with it!
This time I stupidly forgot my plug adaptor and reception didn't have one to find, but instead searched around and found me exactly the right computer connector and a charger for my mobile phone - fantastic! This type of lateral thinking ir rare - the reception staff really are the BEST! Had room service food - no menu in the room (only negative point) but what arrived was nicely presented and very high quality. Stay on the 4th floor for free internet connection (ask for a cable at reception)
I'm definitely staying here next time I need to be in Spandau!!

Back again in this hotel - it really cannot be beaten if you need to be in / around Spandau district. The hotel has a superb spa etc and also has a small cafe / bistro as well as a restaurant. What makes this hotel stand out is the cleanliness, the facilities and the staff - very helpful and pro-active in solving problems.

We stayed 2 nights at Centrovital Hotel in Spandau Berlin. Location in Spandau is 45 min from Berlin Mitte, but for us that wasn't a problem - great public transportation system ensured smooth travel. The hotel itself was reasonably priced, but still 4 star hotel - very clean, modern and pleasant. Extra points for totally non-smoking hotel (smoking is allowed only outside areas), so allergic persons will love this too. Access to spa area is included to the price, and it was worth going. Breakfast was very good and versatile. Also, thums up for great service!

stayed here for 5 nights before and after a family wedding.

first 2 days we were sightseeing in Berlin and while it was a bit of a trek to get to the city centre it was do-able, catch a bus to Spandau Arcaden and then the S Bahn from there.
very helpful reception staff gave us lots of helpful transport info (in perfect English of course!)

we were glad of the spa facilities so we could cool off after a hot day's sightseeing, the pool is full 25m long so could do a proper "work-out" swim. there was also a nice jacuzzi area and lots of comfortable loungers. did not use exercise area but it looked very extensive. as is usual in Germany the mixed sex sauna area was a swimwear free zone (something our fellow Brits were a bit uncomfortable with!). the whole area beautifully clean and well organised with great changing areas, showers etc

rooms comfortable without being exciting, but was quite surprised there was no (user-controllable) air con. ventilation in bathroom could have been better as the mirrors steamed up very easily.

breakfast buffet extensive, but breakfast service a bit patchy with a reasonable wait for coffee to be brought when it was busy at the weekend and waiters looking a bit flustered at times.

some of our party was disturbed by the aircraft noise from nearby Tegel and it was very noticeable as we enjoyed wine and tapas on the terrace of the (ok but not special) downstairs bistro bar.

and finally the wedding celebration meal and party afterwards was held in one of the private conference rooms, could not fault the polite and hard-working staff or the food which was absolutely excellent. the room was far enough away from the hotel bedrooms so we did not have to worry about making lots of noise till the early hours (which we duly did!)

all in all v good value for money for a capital city location
