I previously stayed in August 2008 and was most impressed by the large bedroom and equally large bathroom I had. My previous comments still apply, but this time with one bad point: the small washbasin in the small bathroom had a large-ish glass shelf above it which made it difficult to brush my teeth properly. Aside from that I do like this place. Had 3 excellent day trips to Lubbenau, Leipzig and Dresden (thoroughly recommend Dresden)

Not 5 star by any means, but clean, comfortable and extremely convenient. M1 tram takes you into Mitte in 15 minutes. Prenzlauer Berg is interesting, with lots of bars, cafes, restaurants, and a couple of historical sights such as the Water Tower and the Synagogue. A lively area, with a large gay community, but my 70 year old female companion felt perfectly happy with the location.

Bed was comfortable, bathroom had adequate shower and sink, there is a fridge and an iron/ironing board available. The lobby has a coffee machine and free internet access.

There are no staff on site but someone is on call when needed.

The room was very spacious and stylishly furnished. Transport is close by and Mitte is easily walkable. There are parks around that are good to run around. This area of Prenzlauerberg is a little out of the action, but the room is affordable, cleaned everyday and I enjoyed my time here.

Not in a touristy area, this is a good location for folks who want to stay in "East Berlin" and still have good access to the train for sightseeing.

The person who showed me the room was friendly, but then I never saw anyone again. This is fine if you're not looking for a lot of attention, but would be an issue if you want to stay in a place that has front desk staff - there's no front desk here.

My room was really small, as was the bathroom - but both were tidy and everything well-maintained. My room was on the "inside" of the building, looking out onto a courtyard. Avoid a street-side room, especially on the first floor, which didn't look like it got a whole lot of privacy.

There are several food options nearby and a great little shop a few yards away that had everything I needed (water, snacks). I felt totally safe walking around alone at night and the proximity to the train is great. The wireless internet was excellent.

All-in-all I can recommend this as an option over staying at a hostel. But it's not really a "hotel" - it's really like staying in an apartment building. It worked for me and I'd have no problem staying again.
