We just spent 2 nights at Angleterre Hotel .
Hotel is really close to Check Point Charlie, 400 meters far from Topography of Terror , 700 meters far from Jewish museum… others Berlin’s tourist attraction are not so far but as last weekend temperature in Berlin was -16 degrees it was "hard" to walk so we used “city circle tourist bus” that brings you basically everywhere ( it cost 22€ for 2 days ticket) and during winter is a great transport option.
Hotel is clean, quite and standard rooms are big enough (with 40 inches flat TV and free wi fi). Breakfast costs 17€ but we had just coffee and cake at Starbucks just 1 block from hotel.
Minibar (just soft drinks) was included in our booking.
Taxi ride from Tegel airport to the hotel cost around 20€ and takes about 20 minutes.
So hotel is not really centrally located but during spring/summer could be a good options even if you have to walk a little bit to join all Berlin attractions.

Have stayed there 5 days in 2011 fall. Generally acceptable but would not recommend. Location is central but far to walk to many attractions (e.g. Unter den Linden) and from the rail station as well (which is the cheapest option to get from the airport). The room was clean and generous with size but the view was gloomy. So was the hotel staff we contacted during the stay. On arrival they have lost our luggage left at early check-in. When found no help was offered to bring it upstairs to the room (we had 5 bags for 2 people to carry). Receptionists (except 1 girl) spoke poor English and were unfriendly. The forgot to tidy up the room for 2 days consequently, even after I have reminded to do so. Cant assess the breakfast - we havent tried it beacuse cheaper options can be easily found in the area.

The one great thing about this hotel was it's breakfast buffet: fab coffee, loads of German meats and mustards, lox, breads, fruit, yogurts, juices. Superb. Rooms were fine--nothing special. Location was decent, but something about the neighborhood made me squeemish at night...too quiet and dark. It's two blocks from Checkpoint Charlie, but several blocks from an area with good restaurant options. We had our three year old, and it was quite cold for the 5 days we were in the city, so it would've been nice to be in an area with more immediate dining options. If doing the trip again, I'd pay more to get closer to the more lively Gartenmarket, or Potzdamer Platz.
