I went back to the hotel this January... And I would NEVER stay in any other hotel in Berlin rather than The Ritz.

I stayed at the 10th. floor, which is like an executive level... And I've received the best service I've ever received in a hotel in my whole entire life, the guys working in the Club Lounge are amazing, they not just make you feel at home, they also give you a royal treatment!

Every single detail is taken care in the Ritz: The chocolate, the water, the cleaning, the towels, the umbrella... I needed some plug adaptors and they offered me as much as I wanted.

The rooms are big, comfortable, with a desk and arm chair in which you can seat and read. The bathroom is HUGE and so nice, with the shower and the toilette separately, and a huge bathtub.

The cleaning stuff are always with a smile on their face as well as all the hotel staff.

I really think that a hotel provides much more than a bed and a bathroom, and the management of the hotel lead by Robert Petrovic, truly understand the needs of a traveler, and exceed all expectations in a very gentle and kind maner.

If any traveler is thinking about Berlin and can afford the Ritz, don't hesitate to stay here, is the best choice. And if you can pay a bit more, stay at the Club Lounge... PLEASE!!!

We, with another couple, spent 4 nights here in December. We travel internationally frequently and not only is this one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, it is one of the best Ritz Carlton's we have ever stayed in. We were in Europe for 3 weeks, traveling through Switzerland and Germany, and to our surprise, the Ritz was also the least expensive hotel we stayed at on our entire trip! Upon our arrival, we were greated at the train station by 2 very cheerful bellmen with a van to take us to the hotel. It was a challange to fit 6 adults and 13 pieces of luggage in the van, but, they handled it beautifully. Our room was spacious, which is hard to find in Europe, and elegant. The staff was superb and they went out of their way to see to our every need. The restaurant was outstanding and the food delicious. The breakfasts are unbelievable. The daily 6:00pm opening ceremony for the Curtain Bar with the Beefeater was a fun surprise. Located right across from the Sony Center and the Potsdamer Platz metro train station makes it super easy to catch trains to where ever you want to go. We can not say enough great things about this hotel other than if you ever find yourself in Berlin, it is a must stay! ( and say "Hi" to Terry Green, one of the doormen, he will take great care of you!)

Stayed between Dec. 28 and Jan. 05 of 2011. It was my family's first visit to Berlin, and we had some doubts about staying here with young kids. Service was excellent, friendly and very accommodating (provided diapers, bath toys and baby toiletries, child sized robes and slippers, among other things). The location seems hard to beat, it's across the street from a major train station (U-Bahn/S-bahn) which, though not easy to navigate, quickly connects you to the whole city and outskirts (Potsdam which is worth visiting). It's a short walk to the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag and the "Memorial to the Murdered Jews". The hotel is also next to the Sony center, which has plenty of restaurant, cafes, entertainment options and Legoland, and only a block or two from Potsdammer Arkaden, a modern shopping center with everything you could need, including supermarket and pharmacy. The hotel itself is elegant, but not stuffy, and impeccably maintained. Rooms are large and comfortable, with some of the best linens and mattresses I've ever tried (makes it hard to get out of bed). The bathrooms have separate shower and tub, heated marble floors and good toiletries. The fitness center and indoor pool are good, though the pool's a bit small. It has a full spa, a lovely bar and a great restaurant with a french brasserie feel. The concierges were very helpful, procuring reservations and offering useful recommendations. A great hotel and a very enjoyable visit, I look forward to returning soon.

If you want to be spoiled--definitely make this your destination for Berlin. Berlin is not an expensive city, and of all the Ritz Carlton Hotels that I have enjoyed, this is certainly one of the finest in terms of elegance, and service. If you can, be certain to book the club level which is really a treat. The rooms are beautiful and nicely appointed, and the beds are very comfortable too.
