Traveled as part of a large group of 17-19year olds (40+ people) and we were all located on the 2nd floor of the hostel. Despite the -4c degree weather and snow we had while we there, we had a good stay at a basic level.
My group of four had the smallest room, which had 2 bunkbeds end to end, ensuite, small tv, small table and chairs plus a wardrobe. there wasn't much room to move about but it was comfortable enough. We were provided with sheets and made our own beds, everything was clean if not matching (who cares!) and the same can be said for our bathroom. The heating also worked well, as did the windows if you wanted to open them for some fresh air. We had a view over the garden and a football pitch behind it but it wasn't in use due to the time of the year.
Only bad points I would say are the walls can be quite thin... so you can hear other people tlaking next door. Not a problem for us as we all knew one another, but it gets much noiser at night, especially as people have been at the bar! The reception area and bar are both located in a seperate building though, just across a small courtyard so kept the noise away mostly.
Food is served in the basement area, basic really and nothing special about it but its not terrible either. Quite a large seating area down there too, but maybe a bit cold.
Location of the hostel wasn't quite central but was close to a train station, only a 5 minute walk which worked well anyway.
Overall I would stay here again if on a tight budget... but be warned the high number of school trips that frequent the hostel, you might find a lot of teens around.
